Meet Marie; Kansas City boudoir and branding photographer at UWP!

Hi, I’m Marie — the photographer behind Untamed Wild Photography and a Kansas City based boudoir photographer who believes confidence doesn’t come from changing yourself, but from being fully seen as you are.

I’ve been photographing women for over a decade, but this business actually started more than 14 years ago when I was a brand-new mom trying to build something meaningful while raising my girls. What began as Chic Charlie’s Photography slowly evolved alongside me. At some point, it became clear that the name—and the direction—no longer fit. Untamed Wild Photography was born from that realization.

Untamed Wild is about authenticity, confidence, and letting go of the idea that you need to be anything other than who you already are.

I’m a wife to my husband Chris and a mom to two incredible daughters. Life is full, busy, and beautifully imperfect—and that reality shapes how I show up for the women I photograph. I know what it feels like to lose yourself a little in the roles you carry, and I also know how powerful it can be to reconnect with yourself again.

While I’ve photographed just about everything over the years, boudoir and branding are where my heart truly lives. Helping women feel comfortable, seen, and confident in front of the camera is what keeps me doing this work.

Whether you’re building a business, stepping into a new season of life, or simply wanting to feel good in your own skin again, my goal is to support you in a way that feels calm, genuine, and pressure-free.

My style is clean, modern, and timeless—with a touch of mood where it fits. In boudoir sessions especially, I love creating images that feel strong, feminine, and a little sultry, without ever feeling forced. I guide everything during your session, and your comfort always comes first. You don’t need to know how to pose, how to look, or how to “be confident” ahead of time—that’s my job.

I’m also very intentional about how I approach bodies. I don’t believe in “before and after” narratives or the idea that beauty only shows up once you change yourself. I’m a mom approaching 40, with all the life experience that comes with that, and I do this work to remind women that they’re worthy of feeling confident right now, not someday.

My studio is located in Louisburg, Kansas and serves women throughout the Kansas City area. It’s a calm, private space designed with women in mind.

Every session is customized. No cookie-cutter experiences. No pressure. Just an environment where you can relax, be yourself, and enjoy the process.

Untamed Wild Photography is a safe space. Judgment doesn’t belong here. You’re allowed to take up space, to feel beautiful, and to be exactly who you are.
